Fast curing

Fast curing floors are ideal for situations where you need a new floor installed and usable quickly. They come in two main categories: fast-curing epoxy/polyurethane coatings.

What are fast-curing floors?

  • Fast-curing epoxy/polyurethane coatings

These are ideal for industrial settings or high-traffic areas. They are very durable and resistant to chemicals and wear. Some products cure in a very short amount of time, allowing you to apply multiple layers in a single day. Here are two types:

    • Epoxy floor coatings

These are known for their excellent strength and adhesion. They come in a variety of colors and finishes, including non-slip options for safety.

    • Polyurethane floor coatings

These offer good durability with a bit more flexibility than epoxy. They are often used in areas with temperature fluctuations or where some chemical resistance is needed. A special type of polyurethane coating called "fast-cure polyurethane" can be accelerated even further by adding a booster product, allowing for same-day application of multiple layers.

  • Fast-drying coatings

These are a good option for residential or light-duty commercial applications. They are not quite as durable as epoxy or polyurethane coatings, but they are much faster drying - often recoatable in a few hours. They come in a wide variety of colors and finishes, including anti-slip options.

Considerations

Here are some things to consider when choosing a fast curing floor:

  • Traffic level

How much wear and tear will the floor experience?

  • Chemical resistance

Do you need a floor that can withstand exposure to chemicals?

  • Surface condition

Is the floor new or existing?

  • Desired finish

Do you need a smooth, textured, or non-slip surface?

No matter what your needs are, there's a fast curing floor solution that can get you back to service quickly.
