UV Instantly Cured Dance Floor

ERS Marine were called upon to survey a tired and damaged wooden dance floor which needed immediate attention whilst in service. Wooden surfaces on marine vessels are subject to high wear and tear whilst constantly in use, so they need a tough coating. We provided a high profile cruise ship with an innovative instantly cured UV coating with a high chemical, stain, scratch and dye resistance. The works were successfully completed during a single turnaround day in port. We have also completed many during the evening when passengers are fast asleep. The instant curing solution ensures areas are not out of access to passengers for long periods of time.

This provided long term protection and increased the life span to its wooden dance floor curing them instantly using a UV lamp. We used the knowledge and experience gained from projects we have completed using our fast curing technology in the industrial sector to develop a system that provides huge benefits to the marine industry. The system can also be incorporated for use on wooden handrails and tables to provide a hygienic coating.
